F O R T HE R ECO RD CAMPAIGNBRIEFREVIEW ALL THE CREATIVE NEWS THAT FITS Saatchi & Saatchi Australia pro- moted multi-award winning talent Dave Bowman to creative director, reporting directly to executive cre- ative director Steve Back. Bowman left Dr og a5 New Yor k t o j oin Saatchi’s Australia as group creative head in January 2008 and has been involved in the expansion of the agency’s newly formed divisi on, Saatchi Substance. The wealth of international experience in brand enter tainmen t con tent t hat he brought to this position has led to his promotion to creative director. Bowman’s creative credentials have been rewarded with multiple indus- try awards over the years including Australia’s first Titanium Lion at Can nes i n 2005 for the Virgin Mobile ‘5 Cent’ campaign. Before joining Droga5, Back and Bowman worked together at Saatchi’s New Zealand, a partnership that is now being revived in Australia. Steve Wakelam and Ian Williamson, most re cent ly at BBH London, joined Publicis Mojo Sydney in a continued revamp of the creative department. They bring with them Cannes Gold and Silver and multi- ple D&AD pencils, including a host of rece nt global medals for thei r Levi’s spot, ‘Dangerous Liaison’. Before BBH, Williamson worked for WCRS and HHCL in London. Wakeham had previously spent time at D’Arcy and Burnett in the UK as well. Lowe, Sydney appointed a new creat ive team, Nathan L ennon and Dav e Gibs on, w ho ha ve recent ly returned from London, where they worked at various leading agencies, most notably BBH. Steve Co ll , wr iter and cr eativ e group head at Leo Burnett, Sydney, is leaving the agency and moving to AMV BBDO, London. Rebesch ini comes from TBWA\Chiat\Day New Yor k, an d pr evi ously bu ilt hi s career in the Asia-Pacific region, starting at Grey and later P ure Creative in Melbourne, then on to TBWA Sing apor e. He wil l join Y&R’s Singapo re HQ group i n Sept embe r. Rebe schini succe eds fellow Aussie expat Rowan C hanen (who texted CB Asia editor Kim Shaw, stating he was “moving on” but not elaborating). “All around our network, we are recommitting to pushing our creative standards even higher.
