46 CAMPAIGN BRIEF NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2013 TVC+CONTENT PRODUCTION Tel: +612 9241 7200 Fax: +612 9241 7866 Web: www.filmgraphics.com Email: email@example.com Executive Producer: Anna Fawcett SHANE ABBESS FILmGRAPHICS ENTERTAINmENT Feature Film ‘Gabriel’ Series ‘Event Zero’ Episode 4 Jack and Shelley After leaving film school in the mid-nineties, Shane Abbess spent the better part of a decade making short films, commercials and music videos – all with the eye to understanding every aspect of a production whilst developing a distinct and engaging visual style. Over the years, Shane earned a reputation in his homeland, Australia, for his strong vision that complimented stories with heart and in early 2005 gathered his forces and put it all on the line to make his feature debut. With an upfront cash budget of 200K and a history making sale to Sony Pictures, Gabriel released in Australian cinemas late 2007 before going worldwide the following year. Gabriel would go on to become one of the most commercially successful independent Australian films of all time and still holds a current spot in the top ten for all Australian International releases in the past 25 years. Following this, Shane was quickly snapped up by Hollywood and spent several years developing the projects Dark Crystal 2 for the Jim Henson Company, Source Code with Mark Gordon and Universal and an adaptation of the hit video game Contra with Konami and Paramount. He is at present directing his sci-fi thriller, Infini, in Sydney and shortly after will be available for any suitable commercial projects.
