DDB Sydney appointed interna- tionally awarded creative group heads STEVE HALL and DAN SEAGER who will work primarily across the Volkswagen business. After first teaming up in 2003 at DDB London, Hall and Seager have already gained valuable experience working on Volkswagen, winning gold at Cannes for their 'See Film Differently' campaign. Hall and Seager have also delivered world- class work for Harvey Nichols, Philips, The Financial Times, ING Direct, Cadbury Biscuits and Qantas Frequent Flyer. After three and a half years as JWT national creative director digi- tal ASHADI HOPPER called it quits for new opportunities, yet to be revealed. Prior to joining JWT, Hopper was instrumental in the success of two startups, including the highly laud- ed digital agency Hyro, where as creative director, he propelled the agency to international success with back to back Cannes Cyber Lions. Four months after his shock departure from 18 Feet & Rising, DEJAN RASIC, one of the most awarded creatives in Australia, was appoint- ed ECD at Zoo, which has offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra. In October last year 18 Feet & Rising, London acquired a stake in Colman and Rasic's former agency Colman Rasic, which then rebranded as 18 Feet & Rising, Sydney so as to create one unified proposition working cross border. Arnold Furnace announced some new hires: CHLOE BANICEVIC, ARCHIE MURU- GASER and BEN XU have joined as an art director/writer team and art direc- tor respectively. After first meeing at University in 2005 the girls both graduated from AWARD School before teaming up permanently for three internships during 2009- 2010. They landed their first job as a creative team with Us Sydney in 2010 producing notable work for Nike, SBS and Ron de Jeremy - the rum owned by legendary porn star Ron Jeremy. Art director Xu is the first graduate of Arnold Furnace's new intern program, 'BigFoot'. Ex-DDB Sydney CD RUPERT HANCOCK and ex-DraftFCB CD, MATT SIMPKINS joined Ogilvy New Zealand full- time as creative directors after free- lancing with the agency for a while. Channel Ten appointed MICHAEL STANFORD national creative director commercial content, the fourth ex GPY&R adman employed over the last year. Stanford will report to Matt McGrath, who joined Ten back in April, also his former boss at GPY&R Sydney where he was ECD from October 2005 to August 2008. After Patts Stanford left the agency business, forming Marketing Investment Group with McGrath and over the last year also forming Appilyeverafter, which developed mobile apps for social change. Stanford started his career at McCann Sydney in 2000 and even- tually rose to CD and regional cre- ative head on MasterCard.
