Morgan’s previ- ous roles include being creative director at Holler, a seven year stint at BMF and three years at AMV London. Morgan took over the role left vacant after the departure of SIMON LAN G LEY - ironically Morgan’s former partner at BMF - in November last year to pursue other opportunities. Digital creative agency Holler Sydney appointed JAMES THEOPHANE to the position of creative director. Previously, Theophane was at Clemenger BBDO Sydney in the role of digital creative director but left due to cost pressures at the agency. A recent arrival to Sydney, Theophane has worked at some of the most renowned agencies in the world, including R/GA where he worked on Nokia, Nike, Pepsi, D&AD and Jaguar. Clemenger BBDO Adelaide snared JASON HOLLAMBY for a senior cre- ative role within the agency as well as hiring TOM OPIE as copywriter. Integrated brand design agency Blue Marlin appointed Aussie expat TIM ARROWSMITH as creative director of its Singapore office.This marks a return for Arrowsmith, having held the position of creative director Asia at the agency’s former Bangkok stu- dio five years previously. Originally from Melbourne, Arrowsmith has 20 years of industry experience in the Asia Pacific region where he held a similar role at Interbrand Australia collaborating with their offices in Shanghai and Singapore. ANDY GREENAWAY joined Sapient Nitro based out of Singapore. He has taken up the position of ECD for Asia/Pacific and will join the region’s leadership board. In December last year Greenaway resigned from Saatchi & Saatchi where he was regional ECD. Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Boulder lured former Droga5 Sydney and Lowe Sydney creative BEN SMITH as associate creative direc- tor. Smith arrives from R/GA New York, where he was a CD focused on the MasterCard international account as well as Verizon, Converse, Nike, Microsoft, Qantas and new business. Originally from England, he has also worked at Droga5 and Lowe, both in Sydney before joining R/GA in May 2011. Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam hired Aussie expat creative director GENEVIEVE HOEY, who joins from BSUR Amsterdam, where she was CD on the global Mini account. Prior to BSUR, Hoey was creative group head at M&C Saatchi Sydney, where she helped win the agency’s first D&AD Yellow Pencil for Mobile Innovation. world wide mind films, owned by LA based Aussie expat BEN NOTT - who is also a partner in Droga5 - is set to screen the dramatic action feature length film Drift, which will premiere first in the US in April. Drift is co-directed by Morgan O’Neill and Nott, and produced by Tim Duffy, Michelle Bennett and Myles Pollard. The movie stars Sam Worthington (Avatar), Xavier Samuel (Twightlight) and Myles Pollard (Wolverine). The NZ industry was in shock just before Christmas following news that Publicis Mojo New Zealand had ceased trading. As a result, for- mer Publicis Mojo shareholder and chairman GRAEME WILLS started a new agency called Joy on January 1. Wills will work on some projects with some of the senior Mojo crew, including ECD LACHIE MCPHERSON, who is starting his own thing soon. Most of Mojo’s clients joined Joy, includ- ing Goodman Fielder, Hallen- stein’s, Panasonic and Auckland City Mission. R/GA continued its expansion with the opening of its fourth office in Austin, Texas with Aussie expat PAUL DERY at the helm in the role of executive creative director, report- ing to fellow Aussie expat Nick Law, EVP, global chief creative officer. Dery left M&C Saatchi Sydney in 2009 and joined R/GA as senior writer during the height of the recession. After 18 months in the role, Dery was promoted to associate creative director. JOHN MERRIFIELD, the former TBWA\ Asia-Pacific regional creative- Greenaway - to Asia/Pac ECD role at SapientNitro v Dery - to ECD at R/GA in Austin, Texas Smith - to associate CD gig at CP+B, Boulder
