Eastwood will be replacing Eric Silver, who has been a year and a half in the role. Silver will be moved elsewhere in the net- work. Eastwood is no stranger to the States, having had a short stint as chief creative officer of Y&R New York for a year during 2004/05. Before Y&R, he was chairman and executive creative director at the New York office of M&C Saatchi. Prior to that, he held creative posts at M&C’s offices in Melbourne and London. Originally from Perth, he has held senior writer gigs at JMA Perth and Saatchi & Saatchi, Sydney. After just six months in business, NZ Indie agency Josh&Jamie, owned by Josh Lancaster and Jamie Hitchcock, was acquired by Assignment Group. The deal will group Assignment’s extensive list of clients, with Josh&Jamie’s existing clients: 3 Wise Men, Premiere Beehive, SBS Bank, Dairy NZ and recently won stuff.co .nz . Highly awarded senior art director Nils Eberhardt moved from BMF to Saatchi & Saatchi to join forces with writer Steve May. Eberhardt was partnered with BMF associate creative director, Richard Morgan before heading to The Rocks to replace recently departed art direct- ed Eron Broughton. Eberhardt was originally from Jung von Matt, Hamburg. Droga5 New Zealand snared TBWA\Whybin\Tequila, Auckland creative director Guy Roberts and his creative partner Corey Chalmers to creative director roles working alongside creative partner, Mike appointment of former Saatchi & Saatchi, Wellington CD Tim Hall as creative director. Hall is the latest in a string of key hires by Banjo and re-unites a formidable creative team with Hall’s ex creative partner Georgia Arnott, who heads the cre- ative department at Banjo Sydney. Since 2007 Tim has been working in the New Zealand market as CD at Saatchi & Saatchi’s award winning Wellington Office. Garry Horner, the former executive creative director of Whybin\TBWA Sydney, who departed the agency in early May (since replaced by Dave Bowman and Matty Burton) was lured to Perth to take up the newly created executive creative director role at The Brand Agency. Prior to arriving in Australia 14 years ago, Horner worked at CDP and WCRS in London, before joining DDB Sydney as creative director in 1996. Whilst there, the agency was named Campaign Brief Agency of the Year twice, as well as runner up on sev- eral occasions. CHE, Melbourne appointed Mike O’Hare to the role of executive cre- ative director following the resigna- tion of Jason Ross who leaves the agency after five years to pursue a new direction early in 2011.
