Campaign Brief (AUS/NZ) Online.
Campaign Brief Magazine : November December 2008
Andrikidis’ reputation for bringing exciting visual flair to the screen has seen him become one of Australia’s most awarded and respected drama directors. Peter’s latest accolade, the 2008 Australian Directors Guild Award for Best Direction of ‘East West 101’, adds to a long list that includes last years Career Achievement Award from the Director’s Guild and three AFI’s for Best Direction. A highlight of this year was the critical and ratings success of ‘Underbelly’. Directing four episodes of the drama based on the real events of the 1995 – 2004 gangland war in Melbourne ‘Underbelly’ showcased Peter’s character and action direction as well as his dark sense of humour. A natural storyteller Peter is an actor’s director, generating excellent performances through collaboration and an instinctive understanding of the craft. The strength of his vision combined with his personal character, sense of humour and passion, makes Peter an incredible asset to the advertising community.
